OK so I just wanted to get some opinions here. I have a USP Tactical. I love it and its a great gun. I bought this gun to quench my 45 acp thirst while I was waiting for the HK45 to come out. But I have read everyones reviews of the HK45 and how much better of a fit the HK45 is in there hands. I don't have the biggest hands but the full size tactical is more than manageable for me. I was wondering if I could get some opinions of people who may own both and how the two compare. I need to pick up a compact and I'm not sure if I want to go with the USPc in 45 or the HK45c. I'd like to have a matching set with the full size and compact. So I'm trying to figure out if I want to stick with the Tactical and go with the USPc or switch th the HK45 and. HK45c. Also, I live in a state where I can not have a suppressor :-(

I have a USPf and just bought a HK45c. I liked the fullsize USP and compact HK45 better then the reverse. I dont care much about a matched set. What works and feels best is far more important than what looks best as a desktop or background photo

I just like the fact that there would be uniformity between the guns as far as controls such as magazine release, safety and over all feel.

I prefer my HK45 LEM to the tactical I fired, but to each his own. I also wouldn't worry about uniformity among your guns. IMO it is better to be universal with your application of firearms, being able to pick up almost anything and know how/ be able to use it, than to have your personal weapons tailored or being experienced with only a fewer platforms. You might not always be able to use the guns you are most experienced with, so don't try to get comfortable with only one style.

They are both HK's and thats a tough one for me. I have 2 USPCT's and next on my list is the HK45. :D

I understand the posters need for opinions. But I think its like a pair of shoes. You see what style you like and try them for fit. No one can decide whats best for you.
I haven't been able to get into the new generations of Hk pistols and haven't even picked one up to examine it. I'm still stuck in the USP world of full sized pistols.
Good luck on your decision. I'm sure any HK pistol will be a good choice.

I am a fan of HKs, love'em to death, but, I have seen an HK 45 go for $2,000.00 and an asking of $2,500.00, when in another state they go for $850.00.
This price difference is only in CA where you cannot buy them outright, only via LE 2nd hand, so I understand the complications in purchasing them but...
Is the HK 45 that much better than the HK USP?
What's the trigger reset like on your converted HK45? With the DA trigger setup it was very short. Is it still as short?

I know the solution: USP-T+USPc+HK45+HK45c=:)

I don't own both now, but I did own a USP45 Tactical and I now own an HK45, so I can compare the two based on first hand experience.
Without a doubt I prefer the HK45.
Like you, I don't have particularly large hands, but I never felt that the Tactical grip was too large. But the HK45 grip is just so much nicer. It also sits just a little lower in the hand so muzzle flip is less. That combination makes it easier for me to be accurate with the HK45. It's a more pleasant gun to shoot.
Others may feel differently of course.

I'll throw in my 2 cents in. I picked up a Tact 45. And then the HK45. I liked the way the HK45 fit my hand better than the Tach. I would go by what fits best in your hand for you. Plus the HK45C felt great too.
