What do you do when you've found the perfect handgun? I'm in love with my P7 PSP. I've shot everything you could imagine and nothing compares to my P7. I've got nothing left on my list of guns to buy - the P7 is just hands down the best gun I've shot - it's like sex in your hand. I'm fulfilled - what do I do now? Get into rifles? Spend my money elsewhere? I'm at the end of the 'find the perfect gun' road. I feel lost...

You keep shooting your perfect pistol. A lot. :P And then you start searching for MORE perfect pistols!
Rifles can be fun too, but it really depends on how much you like rifles. I just put up a bolt action .223 for sale because I never took it out, but I just ended up trading it for an m4gery. Go figure :13:

You start pimping it! I've just fitted some Heinie Straight Eight tritium sights to my USP40 (my perfect pistol) and I now love it even more!!!

Easy there SauceNJ. I suggest you shoot only in private, with protection, and only with a P7 at least 18 years old.
Oh, and post some pictures...if you dare.

Jeff Cooper once said something that I think sorta applies here. In order to stay in business, the gun companies constantly come up with new weapons, new calibers, ect & then try to convince you that they are better than what you have & how badly you need to buy the latest toy. In truth, your grandfathers weapon is most likely every bit as lethal & serviceable as the latest toy. Odds are, that your grandfathers weapon will be usable for several more generations, as long as it is maintained & parts are avaliable. So, if you have found the perfect handgun, perhaps pick up a spare, extra parts, mags, ect. so your children & grandchildren may enjoy it as well. Once you have done that, then sock the money away for retirement. It will be here quicker than you think. If a new wiz-bang pistol or rifle comes out, then rent or borrow one before buying so you will not make an expensive mistake.

Stop overthinking and go shoot a few thousand rounds through it. I'll send you my bill later ;)

i've been wondering (if i'm going to shoot this a lot)... should i get a grade A or grade B?
not to hijack the thread but is there a thread covering the differences between the 2 grades in the P7 pistols?

In a word, yes.

Or:
Maybe start looking around for a smaller pistol to backup your P7?

(I actually refer to my Seecamps as my "mag change" for the larger firearm).
Just personal opinion/YMMV

Now that you've found the perfect pistol, it's time to start looking for the perfect rifle. ;)

You should be happy and just enjoy the pistol. Shoot it lots and save your money. I know that's hard to do, but you really should save your money. In the future you'll be glad you did. And I guarantee that sooner or later, given enough time, another gun will seduce you and you'll just have to have it and it may even replace the P7 as your perfect handgun. Life is funny that way. :)

Basically to find inner peace you take all of your assets and liquidate them, not the PSP of course. And then write me a check for that amount.
Haha...
