I handled a new HK45 this week and fell in love. I have been thinking about trading my KK date code USP 45f for the HK45. I know I will take a bath on the USP and wonder if it's worth it? My USP is a nightstand gun and is mint with less than 500 rounds downrange. Unfortunately I don't live near a range anymore and don't get to shoot often. When I do I try to always practice with my carry/truck gun, try to shoot the Baer, now I have some P7's to add to the rotation. You get the idea, either one won't get shot much. Also, according to HK's website, the new 45 only has a 10 round capacity? Is that true? If so that's another strike against giving up my 12 rounder as a house gun.
Help me please :)

Cut loose the "Safe Queen" P7 and get yourself and HK45!

Not enough difference to me to give up my model USP to take a pistol with less over all of what I like, to make me buy an HK 45. They look and feel and perform great I'm sure, but not going there yet.

Don't trade, just add on. I've never traded off an HK and not deeply regreted it later.

Definitely get both, I've got a USP C 9mm on layaway (paid for, few weeks til I turn 21) and the HK45 will follow shortly thereafter.

Keep the USP.45 and add the HK45. The USP deserves to stay in the collection.

Thanks for everyone's input. I have a plan that will take a little time and some cash. I may just part with my Glock 23 and 34 and replace them with a P30 and an HK45. Then all my centerfire pistols would be HK except one Les Baer and a 50's Colt Agent. They hopefully stay till the end of my gun toting days!

I just did a 4 day pistol course with my HK45 and my USP 45 was my back up, the USP never came out of the case. The HK45 is AWESOME and by far is better and more thought out then the USP. If you like the USP you will fall in love with the HK45 just as I did.

That's kinda what I did. I parted with a Sig 220R stainless, Glock 22 & Glock 35 (both with lasermax) & a bunch of mags. I walked away with (2) HK45s and a HK p30. Don't regret the trade one moment.
