Heads up to all the HK'ers in NYC. NY Ironworks in lower Manhattan just got in the full size HK45. Don't bother asking a price because it is going to be ridiculous. Instead, just check it out if you haven't yet. Make sure to bring your permit with you.
My personal thoughts? The grip is nice and the gun feels good in the hands. I am currently shopping for a 1911 as I want to diversify my collection. The HK45's grip is reminicent of a 1911 grip, just not as slim and it is able to hold 10 rounds. I will say appearance wise, it is a BIG gun. When I get a chance to shoot one, I will know for sure if the HK45 will be added to my collection.
