Well that about sums it up. Another HK junkie gets a fix. I picked up a P7 PSP, grade B. Anyway I'm looking at some mags on gunbroker and wondered if any HKPRO members had purchased them from said "pawn shop" in AL. I picked up a mag from him on a auction and he sent me stainless instead of blue. Not a big deal, since I was selling the pistol, but at the price of the PSP mags I want to make sure I'm getting the right "bang" for my buck. Cheers

I love this club!
Did you check CDNN for mags?? Get the 'DEMO' mags if they have any left.

Reference the CDNN "Demo" mags, are these the same across the board?
Meaning if you purchase from CDNN, or Joe's pawn shop, are you getting a used mag in good condition, no rust or dents?
The ones on Gunbroker are shown in a HK wrapper and "appear" to be in good condition. Quoted from the auction "Mags are basically perfect!!".

I'm glad I got mine from CDNN while I did. I bought 1 'NEW' Mag from CDNN for ~$59 and 2 'DEMO' mags for ~$35ea. CDNN's 'Demo' mags look to have been inserted into a pistol a few times, but look brand new other than that.
How much are they going for on gunbroker?

The auction is for 3 mags, on average about $50 apiece. The CDNN mags are sold out, with replacment stock ?.

I just checked on gunbroker and they do seem to average around $50 each. I'd call CDNN and ask if they expect more.

So is the $50 price in line with the current market?, the CDNN price is very good, but I talked to them and the replacement stock was not confirmed.

I bought 6 extras from CDNN in early March and they looked great. Wish I had bought a couple more.

Just to go off subject for a bit, I'm thinking on going the Raven Concealment route for the holster and mag pouches, anyone have any input on this choice? I've read some good to excellent reviews about the holster and fit on other forums. I would be very interested to know if its the holster of choice for the P7?

Dano:
Basically I did the same as you regarding the CDNN "demo only" mags for $39.99. I bought one extra with my first two P7's and the last time, when I odered my 3rd P7 (2 weeks ago) I ordered four extra mags. This gives me 3 per pistol.
My buddy ordered his CDNN "A" grade P7 last week and the supply of extra "demo" mags was gone, but the salesman (Neal) was expecting future shipments, so hopefully those folks still desiring extra mags can check back with CDNN every now and then.
I'm not sure if the date codes on the extra mags are the same as those on the pistols themselves, but if that's the case all of my mags were either "IA"-1980, "IB"-1981, or "IF"-1985. Since all three of my P7's were of 1980-81 mfg it's nice to have at least two correct date coded mags for each of my P7's.
I found the extra 6 mags I ordered to be precisely the same as those magazines that came with the pistol. Same date codes, same visual appearance, and all function perfectly.
I would recommend anyone considering extra mags for their HK P7's to stick with factory mags. Factory mags are, if anything, "over built" and should last a long, long time.
Just personal opinion/no offense intended.

I am guessing these pistols were imported with 2 mags each and CDNN chose to sell the guns with 1 mag and sell the others for spares. I guess that because I have seen gunbroker auctions where the pistol came packaged with 2 mags. I don't blame CDNN if they did make extra $$ this way. There prices were slightly lower than the ones I saw with 2 mags and the quality of the gun was way better than I expected.

I'm kinda of the same opinion regarding the 2nd magazines. But you know, all of my boxes are cardboard (serial numbers matched to the gun) and originate from 80-81 and basically don't have any extra room for a 2nd mag in the box...
As for the guns themselves, (all CDNN/all "A" grades) my first pistol was absolutely new and unfired. The other two were "like new" but with just slight internal differences which probably indicate they were fired, but not much.. No external wear on any of the three.
Best Wishes,
Jesse
