OK guys, I recently bought a USP compact .45 (blue steel). I ran into a picture of a full sized USP that has an NP3 finish on it, I hear it is very nice. Does anyone know if this can be done with a blue steel USP Compact or does it have to be a stainless steel finish in order to send it to ROBAR to get the NP3?
It doesn't matter (stainless or chromoly) BUT... the finish is a bit slippery to the touch.

I had the slide and internals NP3'd and love it. It has been toted around for many, many miles and the finish has held up fine. I have not noticed any difference in my ability to cycle the firearm into battery, my hands stay right where I put them. There should be no issue with Robar taking care of an NP3 refinish on your USP.

Just what I wanted to hear!
