So I'll be picking up my first HK next week, a NIB P2000 V3 9mm, and cant wait!!

Anyway, I've been lurking here for a couple weeks and it seems like the P2000 isnt nearly as popular as the USPc for carry. Is this the case? Is the P2000 not as good a weapon as the USP? Should I have gotten something else?

help me out guys. Thanks

I personally think the P2k is better. Better ergonomics, better LEM trigger in my opinion. Thinner slide I believe. I've shot both....and I recently picked up my own P2k. It's a great pistol and I've put over 500 rounds through it without any problems.

You should be happy with what you have. I will be getting my CCW soon and will be carrying my P2k.

I want a P30, but its not available in .40 so i was thinking about the P2000 as well if I cant bring myself to own a 9mm

I've never fired a P2000, but I am sure they are solid guns. I bought my USPC 40 before the P2000 came out, and didn't have a need for another carry gun.

The P2000 is pretty much a usp with some cosmetic improvements. And you can hang a light on it without having to buy a rail adapter.

I have both the P2000 and the USPc, I use both for carry. I find the P2000 to be slightly more comfortable for carry, and I like the grip better. However, in .40S&W, I like the USPc a lot more. The heavier, blockier slide seems like a better choice to me, though I expect in reality there isn't that much difference. I carry the P2000 more often, but once my USPc gets converted to LEM I expect it to see more carry time (and, of course, once I make it to the range to qualify with it).

I like the P2K better than the USPc.

I prefer the decocker position and think the grip is much better.

I also think it has slightly less recoil.

The main reason to choose a USPC to carry over a P2000 is the manual safety feature. Someone preferring the LEM or DA/SA setup would likely be more satisfied with a P2000.

Even though I carry a USPc .40 I think the P2000 9mm is as good if not better as a CCW. It's a little smaller and alot lighter.

If I'm shooting a .40, I would take the heavier USPc, but for 9mm you can go with either one. However, I fired a P2000sk .40 and found it much more manageable then the equivalent Glock, the G27. Both the USP and P2000 handle recoil very well.

In my experiences the P2000 is every bit of gun the USP is.

+1

This is why I bought my USPc

+2, Thats why I sold my P30 for a USPf. USP, 2000 are very realiable/durable and accurate pistols.....

The reason more carry the USPC is because they have been around longer. I carry a USPC .45 and have the P2K and SK, both in .40. I would be carrying the P2K or SK if it were made in a decent caliber, like .45. ;)
