Where to Shoot Full Auto in SE MI

Anybody know of any places to shoot your automatic weapons other than the "Pit" in Lapeer?

I don't believe they allow people to bring their own weapons in to shoot. I know you can rent weapons from them to shoot.

Im at Target every Sunday. Talk to Ray the owner if its a subgun he might let you shoot it. He gets pissed when I take my M16 and G3 and start blasting without telling him. He dosent care when I shoot my subguns though.

I'd be pissed too. That's a short/handgun range. It was never designed for rifle applications.

Nope it was not but he allows semi rifles all the time. He always puts me in the back range alone just because its louder as hell and distracts the other shooters.

I shoot there from time to time as well but at $40 a box for their 7.62 ammo, I usually only go in the winter months.

Last time I was there was to shoot my G3K... stuck me right at the end on the main range. Place cleared out after 30 mins, lol.

He just loves it when I sneak this on the range and start blasting. It always gives everyone a good laugh.

Think its more like 20 bucks a box of WWB for 7.62 but Im not sure anymore I never buy his ammo. He dosent care what ammo I shoot and I never pay too shoot either. Ray is is a good guy but kinda a dick if you dont know him personally. Like I said Im always there on Sundays and am probably going in a hour ot two. I will bring my MP5k clone with sear if your up too it. Also got a couple of M11s I jacked up sitting there shooting at about 2k rpms.


Of all the forums I go too I have never meet a single person from the net. Would be nice to have a MI shoot one of these Sundays.

Nice little toys you have there! Me, DetroitDefender and GTPprix have been trying to plan a range day. I sold off my really cool long guns... G36E, G3K and G3 but still have my Chantilly 91 and 93 and the AR stuff. No sear yet, but someday.

Today is out for me but I may be able to get away next Sunday.

There is a new indoor range being built in the Flint/Burton area.


It is supposed to be up and running by Labor Day.


Last I heard they are gonna have a separate pistol and rifle range.

I would like to find one also. Top Gun in taylor might also let you shoot there. I'll have to ask. Anybody know of any sub-gun matches in the area.
If I end up getting the property I want, there will be a full auto range down around Monroe:43:

I hate Target. They make you buy and shoot winclean. I don't know about FA, but I love Double Action on Dequindre. Best range guys I know. Always treat me right, too.

I don't go anywhere BUT Target Sports. They always know whats going on and they don't stock garbage. They might be a tad bit more expensive than bubbas gun shop but you pay for service. The guys behind the counter aren't going to lie to you and they have experience with what they sell.

I never heard of the rule where you have to shoot their own ammo. If its a rifle round they might check it with a magnet first to see if its AP but I have never had any problems? If you rent one of their own guns then you DO have to use their own ammo, and that is justified in my opinion.
