View Full Version : USP .45 Tactical (Full Sized) Questions
My first HK is on it's way and I should have it early next week. I am pretty excited! I have a few questions about this model and would appreciate your assistance.
If I wanted to do this, can I drop in a standard full sized USP .45 barrel in the Tactical gun's slide? Would it work? Besides Midway USA, who else sells these?
I am not going to be getting a can for some time and I am thinking about putting some night sights on it for the time being. What kinds do you recommend?
Thank you ahead of time.

Welcome Home!
Yes the standard USP barrel will drop right in. Good night sights? I like the Heinie SlantPro Straight 8. http://www.heinie.com/slanteight.php

Also give Meprolights sights a hard look. They are more traditional with three dots instead of two and are adjustable.
Since you're not looking at getting a can for a while I would also recommend investing in a thread protector.

I will have to check out the Meprolights. I have a USP made thread protector coming as well. Can you tell me the cheapest place to find a quality light rail adapter?
Thank you.

I got a Jarvis o-ring barrel, sized for the standard USP full size (for those times when I am travelling and cannot have the "evil" threaded barrel). It drops right in and works/fits great. I am 100% happy with it.
I also had tooltech drill my stock Tactical adjustable sights and put tritium vials in them. I have bars in the rear and a dot in the front.
My sight picture looks like: _._

Is the Jarvis barrel a straight drop in? Best place to get it?
How much was the sight work?
Is the Jarvis barrel a straight drop in? Best place to get it?...Yes its a 'drop in', they will fit it to your slide if you want.
