Thinking of getting a light for my H&K USP 9 and compact. Can I see some of your lights to get a good reference and help me decide?
Also what are some good adapters if I don't go with the UTL? Thanks guys!

My LEM Jet Funnel 9mm is using a GG&G mount with a X200. It's a good, solid mount with a Glock style slot for mounting lights. Sorry, camera hand slightly shaky, so photo blurred.

Here' what the X300s look like.

And the TLR-1 and the older Streamlight M6 with laser.

Do the new HK45s require any mounting bracket if used with the X300? I was thinking of buying one, but not sure if it clips right on or if you need an extra piece.

The closest I've found is Insight's X2 (http://www.insightlights.com/products-x2.htm). It runs on a single 123A, puts out 40 lumens for 30 minutes, and goes for about $100.
You will also need a rail adapter for it to attach.

Thanks I think I've seen that one before. Next time I have some money I will probably order myself up an X2L (light + laser) for ****s and giggles :D.

Not that I am aware of, they will all protrude longer than the muzzle of the compacts. If you are going to shoot your pistol with the light attached a lot, then put a thin film of lubricant on the lens of the light to ensure that you don't get power buildup on it, very hard to clean off. I would check with your light manufacturer first to ensure your brand of lubricant does ont harm the lens.

Very far from it, just a lifetime of buying cheaper guns, trading several on more pricy guns, and so forth over the past 34 years.
