I have a USP Compact .45. I am getting a P2000 now. Will holsters for the USPC work with the P2000?

I have a VMII and a Kramer Scabbard for a USPC. I was hoping the P2000 will fit. I dont want to have to have to buy new leather if possible.

Thanks!!

Both of those should fit just fine. The only problem you will sometimes see is interference with the ambi slide release.

I have a Milt Sparks EX for the USP Compact that fits my P2000 just fine. On the other hand, I had a Blade-Tech for the USPc that did not fit the P2000 due to the ambi slide release. My el-cheapo Fobus paddle fits both fine, and the Safariland duty holster I have for the P2000 does not fit the USPc at all. Basically, its a toss up.

Going the opposite way, I use a Desantis Speed Scabbard made for a P2000 for my USPc .40. It fits fine, although I'm not sure how much bigger/wider a USPc .45 is and if that would fit as well.

Holsters I mold for the USPc45 will allow the USPc 9/40 and P2000 to fit, but P2000/USPc 9/40 holsters will not work for the USPc 45. The length is slightly longer for the 45 and a slight increase in width. Other makers may have differing results. A P30 holster will also accommodate a USPc9/40.

Not on a blackhawk CQC Serpa molded holster.

I have seen erroneously labelled holsters that say "Fits HK USP COMP & P2000".

A USPC holster will NOT fully fit a P2000. A P2000 holster from above, has provisions for the ambi slide release. A USPC holster from above deos not. You can jam it in there, but it may damage stuff.

If the holster maker doesn't accomodate the ambi slide release, it will be a problem. A tight fit around the slide release is not needed for retention, and only will serve to wear the release earlier and more severely. Same thing with the safety/decock lever on the USP V1, etc. Not needed for retention, usually not a wear issue though because it is a polymer part.
