I tried a box of federal gold medal match 185 grain fmj semi wadcutter match ammo in a new mark 23. I had ftf and fte. I'm assuming that it doesn't have enough power to operate the gun, and the bullet shape isn't going to allow it to feed. I have never shot a wadcutter before. Is it not a good idea to shoot them. In what guns can you shoot them? Will the mark23 break in and be able to shoot them? They were very mild shooting and accurate. I would like a mild ammo to use in the gun for indoor target practice. There was a 45 ammo thread someone had done on this board with a HK45 and said that this ammo was mild and accurate, so thats why I tried the ammo. TIA
