Newbie to HK question regarding the P2000SK. Is the magazine single or double stack? Thinking of this or a Sig P239..

I searched extensively and couldn't find the answer. I sort of wanted to know before visiting a fun store.

It's sort of inbetwix, in between. It is not a true double stack/double feed like the AR mags are, but more of a 1.5 stack single feed.
In short, I call them double stack because they are not single stack like a 1911, that's for darned sure, and when you start getting into 1.5 stack single feed, or even double stack single feed, it just muddies the water too darned much.

Big Bore,

I've always wondered why HK did the staggered stack. Do you know if this was for grip size or for feed reliability of the magazine?

Thanks.

The only reason to double stack the rounds is to increase the mag capacity.
