Hey guys, have any of y'all seen this before?

It looks like a small area on top of the frame has worn off and you can see the metal that is lying underneath. I bought the gun new, cleaned it, fired 200 rounds, cleaned it again, fired about 100 more rounds and noticed the spot during the subsequent cleaning.

Sorry about the pictures not being too clear. Is this something I should be concerned about?

It's normal. That is just the part of the serial number plate that goes through the plastic. My USP has the same thing.

frames polymer, no metal to wear down to. refer to mikecleonard's post for what it actually is.

It is not normal "wear".

It is not wear.

That metal "stud" was present when you bought it. I still have a new in box HK45 that has it. It is not something that appears after firing.

Just to clarify for out side observers.

Its normal, Mine had it when I cleaned it before I even shot it

Or... maybe it's not normal and you can send the unwanted gun with abnormal wear to me and I'll gladly accept it. ;)

All joking aside, it's perfectly normal. I noticed it too and it took me a minute to figure it out, but makes sense once you realize what it is from.

I'd be concerned if I DIDN'T see it.

My P30 had it before I fired it.
