Sadly it appears to me at least, that HK-USA.com/forums is out of commission for the time being.

The lackadaisically moderated HK USA hosted site had been taken over by spammers and seems to be either crashed, deleted, or under construction. Lets hope for the third option as the more HK resources out there the better, especially one with a delayed but direct response from the US supplier.

My list of forums is MGO (www.migunowners.org), Sigforum.com, HK-usa.com/forums and here at HKpro. I guess now I only have three to check, though it has seemed like there was only three for a while...

That's very disappointing. Hopefully they'll get it up and running again soon.

They actually cleared out the spam yesterday evening. By this morning a few of the spammers had re-registered (with the same names but with numbers at the end) and started posting again. Next thing you know the site was down. Hopefully they're upgrading the software to keep these @$$hats out.

Hopefully they will be back up and running soon.

I have a 4th possibility. It appears to me that the spammers have crashed the HK USA forum in retaliation for their spam being taken down. Some of these guys are hard core. If they can't use your forum for free, then they let nobody use it. There needs to be some strong security on the HK USA forum and active policing of the site.

There's a spammer that has gotten on here a couple times in the last week.
It's a link to women's online clothing.
It's not only annoying, but pointless to the demographic.

Is there any computer programmer here that can follow a link & send a virus to crash their sites?

Wish I knew how to do that.

I'm pretty sure that's a federal felony now, Durkn. Best to avoid orange jumpsuits - the ladies really don't like them.

OK, now that you mention it, I don't endorse that whatsoever.

Often times the spammer is not the company selling the product. The spammer is an advertising agency that gets paid (factions of a penny)everytime someone clicks on a link.

Kind of like scams, junk mail and telemarketers. There are enough dumb@$$es out there that buy into to it to make it worthwhile.

The guys on COPS and similar shows seem to have an easier time finding one than I do... maybe it's the orange that's missing! :D

It would be nice if they would convert their forum to vB. Much easier to deal with spammers using vB (I own/admin a few vB forums, none firearms related).

It's back up but the spammers are still there.
