Cabelas in Owatonna MN. has this gun for a mere $2700. http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/gg179/burr75/pimpP7.jpg
I kinda like it! Just different to see.

I hate it when people think something cool is pimp... I was going to view this post of of spite and learn to hate the OP for using that slang.
Then I saw the pistol.... spot on man... spot on

Cool if you want to pack while you're flamenco dancing
They could at least used a German gold coin rather than French.

Dear god, is that a rooster on the grip? Appropriate. Only a co*k would ruin a P7 like that. Either that or he thought he was being clever with a mispronounced Koch.

Dang, that's in my hometown. Exactly 3 miles from my parents house. I'll have to have my dad go check it out for fun.

I think that is one of the ugliest things I have seen. It almost made my eyes bleed. But....one man's junk is another man's treasure so I am sure someone out there can't live without it.

I am going to have to agree on that one. I see this being done to PPKs being sold on Gunbroker all the time and I must say I am disappointed in whomever did this to that gun as a person. I can understand wanting a gold gun (not my cup of tea, but ...) and I can understand someone wanting to have their gun engraved (tastefully of course), but both of these together with the coin in the grip, just makes my stomach turn ...
I feel dirty for even looking at the pic :800:

The owner of that piece would have to require the bad guys fill out an application to determine whether they are worthy of being shot with it...
Does anyone know where to get filigreed solid gold ammo?

Not my thing, but hey, to each his own. I saw a few of these guns at a show in GA.

Gotta admit, the bling sucks but the engraving is pretty darn good.

That's just 14 karat nasty. Looks like it should be hanging around the neck of Mr. T, not for sale at Cabela's.

There was a fully engraved USP with the ss slide on gunbroker a while ago. The frame was also engraved. It looked pretty sweet.

What ever. I appreciate it greatly. It not "pimp," not IMO. Pimp is gaudy and flashy and totally laking in any skill to make or respect in how it is displayed. Pimp is the wanna be who wears a ton of gold around his neck and a cheaply cast, gold plated Madonna while at the same time flashing gang signs and talking street slang. Pimp is the character who is flashy for the sole sake of being flashy. The guy who has his perfectly good front teeth ground down to have them replaced with gold plated caps or worse, replaced completely with gold plated dentures.
Do any of you guys that hate it have any idea what kind of skill and years of training it takes to do engraving like that? I know you don't or you would not react so. It is not that it is on a P7, it could be on anything metal, but the guy who did that has more skill at his craft in his little pinky fingernail clipping than any of us do in our entire bodies. That pistol is no more meant to be shot or to function as a firearm than the Mona Lisa is meant to be a connect the dots picture. It takes a lifetime of dedication, hard work, and an infinite amount of patience to do that kind of work in metal, usually working under a 10X set of cap magnifiers. It's not like it is just a gold plated USP like on Ford's gallery pages. Now, even that to me is gaudy. It doesn't take years of training to simply polish and gold plate something.
Don't criticize that P7 for being a gold plated firearm, appreciate it for what it is, a work of art and an example of a craftsman skill.
JMHO.

I never said it didn't take skill to produce, I just think it is ugly. And that's IMHO.

That's he ugliest thing I've seen in a long time. It's the complete opposite of how H&Ks are supposed to be! Now, there is one less good P7 out there in the wild. Sad.
Yuck!!!

Hey, it's definitely nice, if you're into that sort of stuff. I don't get all the ragging about a stupid pistol. There are tons of them available, and not at all rare. Hell, this sounds like the the purist guys in the car hobby. If all the old cars were left or restored stock........BORING. Besides, there'd be no aftermarket. I say if it's yours......do whatever you like, and thumb your nose to the haters and elitists. It's just a thing.

I appreciate the skill it took to do that, but it is ugly and I'm not going to be PC to avoid hurt feelings.
It looks like and has the same function of a gold plated socket wrench. In a sense it is pimp, the owner had the gun hit with a dremel tool to give it swirly lines and then had it gold plated. Unless the gold plating serves a specific purpose, the only purpose for it is to be gaudy and flashy.
Kinda like filing down your teeth to have them capped and gold plated.

Why does it have to serve a purpose? If you have lots of pistols and enough $$$ to personalize something......go for it. I think the PCness around here is being all anal about some European hardware. I'm looking for a really cheap P7 to do pink and white, for my wife's carry gun.
