.40 USP compact magazines

Will .40 USP compact magazines work with a P2000 or USP compact in 9mm? I know they work in the P2000sk .40, but I'm looking to get rid of my .40 and get a 9mm, and am wondering if I should hold onto the magazines? Thanks.

Yes, they will work. Especially in the Compact. 9mm in a .40 mag full size fit rather loosely but in the Compact they fit and work just fine. This is an old trick that was done during the AWB to get 12 rounds of 9mm in a 10 round .40 mag.
I still would not use them for anything serious but I also have not heard of any that didn't work just fine.
