Just picked up a P30.
Can someone give me a good source for a couple extra cheap 15 round mags. Someone who ships kinda quick. I don't want to wait a month.
Also, night sights. Anyone offering them yet? Factory, aftermarket? I've not seen anything about night sights.

Heinie straight 8's are available.
haha hk and cheap mags in the same sentence is funny. seriously cdnn has the best price i have seen but they are 39.99. hk mags are not usually cheap unless its 10 rounders.

ShootersPlus has 39 of em in stock @ $38.95 bucks a pop. My orders usually get to my front door in 3 days, really quick shipping.
Direct Link to their HK magazine section (http://www.shootersplus.com/h_k_magazines)

Well, I know HK and cheap don't go in the same sentence, look at my signature, I own other HK weapons too. I've bought HK magazines before and I know they are not "cheap". I think a more appropriate way to have put it would have been, "does anyone know who has the best price on P30 magazines".
Anyway, those prices you guys put are $10~15.00 less then what I found around here.
Thanks for the links guys. :)
Now if more people would just have options for night sights.

Other then going with the Heinie Straight Eight sights the only other available option right now is to send in your slide to Tool Tech. They drill into the existing factory sights and install Trijicon tritium inserts with your choice of color. They do excellent work and have a fast turn around time.

Jeez, you want to go online to buy a couple of mags?? Go to your local dealer. Support them.. I went to my local dealer and I bought 2 extra mags at $38.95 each. Same price as these guys are finding online with no shipping and friendly service!!
Now, if you tell me you have no local dealer or your local guy is an a$$, I understand. Part of the reason our economy is wonky is because our money is shifting out of our communities to the cheapest available source anywhere in the world. I know this is a weird tangent, but think about it. If you shop local for your accessories, that dealer is going to spend his local profit by buying his kid some shoes at the local store. etc, etc....
If we all shop more locally, all of our money will recylce in our own community. Now, I am no saint either, but I'm trying. So, please check with your local guys first and if it's only a few bucks more, please spend it there.
Sorry for the rant.
PS: I am not a local gun store owner.

PPS: I see that you did try to shop locally. It is weird that mags are $10 or $15 more than the price my HK dealer sell them for. I would look for another local HK dealer.

Didn't want to create a new thread, but Heinie has HK45 sights on their online store with no mention of P30 variants or HK45 sight compatability with the P30.
Are they the same? Do I need to call and order specific P30 sights? I want sights for both the HK45 and the P30, but should I order 2 sets of HK45 sights and it will work on the P30 too?

I wish I could support my Local gun shops, but to them HKs are unheard of unless some local sells/trades theirs for something in the shop. When they do have an HK it is astronomically priced, a NIB HK45c for 1150 dollars...$1150 dollars, holy crap, I ordered mine from CDNN for 8 and change. I try to buy all of my cleaning gear from them but damn, they just overcharge for the hks ( and these things are pricey to begin with)
none of my local places have hk accessories in stock. i do buy my guns locally. there is a reloading store that i have had order my most of my hk's. he does me a fair price usually about 50 bucks higher than online. but by the time you factor transfer fee and shipping it works out. i actually just picked up a p30 from him saturday he took it in on trade and called me. it had about 50 rounds through it the older gentleman that originally purchased couldnt function it properly cause of arthritis. this gun still had the original grease in some places. 650.00 for practically brand new p30. i also buy all of my cleaning supplies from him.
he was actually the only shop that was nice to me when i first started out. i was asking for tips on cleaning he told me and showed me. the other places just kinda laughed and were rude. they are also way way over priced.

I wish I had time to start another business. If only more stores understood good customer service, it sounds like they would have a lot of customers that want quality weapons and good service. Maybe there are some seniors out there that are into guns that should consider opening up a range with awesome service and a selection of quality HK firearms...
Hmmm....sounds like a good gig in my retirement years.
Thats basicly like the reloading store i go to, to get my cleaning supplies and guns. This guy is a retired sheriff he has 1 other employee thats also an older gentleman. Only reason he doesnt stock H&K hand guns is due most people come in wanting glocks, m&p's and khar. but he will order whatever i ask him to.

Called 11 different stores just to find the HK P30 as it was and drove 100 miles to get it. No extra mags in-stock.
Tried all my local stores in hopes maybe just one had some P30 mags, nope, none...
One gun store, the biggest one in our area, when I asked for HK mags said, "yeah we dont deal too much HK crap".
When I said crap they said yeah HK guns are too over priced and not any higher quality then a good GLOCK. Buy a GLOCK if you want plastic, if you want a real gun, buy a 1911.
Sooo yeah...
We simply have NO HK dealers around here.

Wow, that's ridiculous. I would have ended up in an argument with the guy REAL quick. Then, of course, I'd never go back to them. Some people are just way more ignorant than they should be. Especially a gun shop owner... they obviously don't know much about 'business'. It's one thing to suggest another brand, but it's completely different to just start talking crap like that.

Even in a city like Phoenix which has a lot of gun shops, many of them large, I don't see HK mags whether they sell Hk pistols are not. In fact I saw P30 mags for the first time in a shop last weekend. Gun shops deserve your business if they are good shops but most of them are full of tacti-cool know it all's or used car salesman types. My favorite shop in Phoenix is Pistol Parlour in Mesa and I have bought lots of pistols from them including my HK's but they never have HK mags in stock.

I ordered my extra mags from Shooters Plus. They arrived quickly and the people were very friendly. I'd recommend them.

Umm why is it so expensive? I would think this would be a cheaper alternative to buying a whole set of night sights.

I think the cost includes shipping to you. Most of the cost of night sights besides instillation is the tritium vials.

I'm guessing they are charging for "shop time" like most machine shops do. It's expensive, but so is owning the machinery to do the kind of work they do. Sometimes you have to pay more to get what you want, but at least the option's available.

It's hard to support a local shop when it cost more than $200 for a pistol that I can get online.

The price seems fair to me especially since it includes shipping. They had to develop this process themselves and it seems fairly labor intensive. What I want is blank rears and night sight front sight though. Warren tactical rears with trij or similar front sight would be ideal.

I'm no machinist but one of my friends owns a machine shop and then we work with yet another machine shop at my own company.
I can tell you just from watching other projects I've had done for me, it shouldn't cost that much.
If I could get the damn capsules, I could do it myself at my friends shop on one of the CNC type drill presses.

Well I just spoke to someone over at Trijicon and there night sights for the HK 45, HK 45C and HK P30 are six months off.
WHAT THE HECK..
You would think that these manufacturers would be quicker to get to market even if in small batches.

my local guy also has new hks priced up in the stratosphere but used guns come a lot cheaper but not as often. for a person like me who is on a fixed budget i gotta go where its cheaper. if my gun guy would match prices then i would go to him in a heartbeat.

Yeah and that SUCKS. I don't think it should take that long. I mean, the same sight fits all of them so...
I guess they just don't care and would rather make sights for the new XD and the hundred different 1911 variations as well as Glocks. I mean, HK pistols are generally not as popular.
