does hk make a mag for the p2000sk like walther has for the p99c, as in with the extra finger grip. just thinking of a way to keep the mag short instead of getting the x grip so my pinky is still able to be on the handle.

What do you mean? Black? Metal? Holds x many rounds? Has finger rest? Has texture? ???

H&K has flat and finger rest mag bases. I think most guns come new with finger rest bases.

The standard SK mags have an extension on the front of the mag for your pinky.

Personally I don't think it works well, and is awkward. I, like many others here have replaced the extension baseplate with a flat baseplate on my mags.

In addition, the flat baseplate prints less.

If you want a bit more grip you can use the P2000 mags with the X-Grip extension which should work much better.

OTOH, if you do that, why not just carry a P2000.

i guess im one of the few people who prefer the pinky extension on the p2ksk mags. my hands fit perfectly on the grip with the pinky extension. the gun does print a bit more witht he extension but i prefer the extra printing for extra comfort when shooting. im thinking about getting the xgrip with the p2k mags for the range so i dont have to reload as often.

My P2000sk came with the mag pictured below:

The best reason to use the P2000 magazine with the P2000Sk is to use the higher capacity magazine for the backup magazine. Carry the SK with the short magazine inserted for less "print" and the higher capacity if you need it.

True, but you can do that without the X-Grip. In fact, I carry P30 mags for my SK.

I just modded some pearce grip extenders(pg-26) for a glock 26 to fit &they work great .

On another thread I read that a guy used a Glock 27 finger extension on his mag and it fit with very minor modification. I know people are going to say don't put glock stuff on your HK gun, but if it lets you shoot better and you are comfortable with it to save your life, then I say its fine. Now if this is just a target pistol or a safe queen, then I would just live with it and not degrade with gun with glock stuff, but like I said ... a ccw weapon is different. I don't think a bad guy cares what on you HK that you shoot at him.

this would be for carry use, well for me it would. for the range i would load up with the hi-cap mags and the xgrip. for carry its nice to have the whole hand on the gun and not have your pinky waving in the wind.

looks good, what kind of modification did you have to do to it?

I had to re-drill the hole in the baseplates. A little larger and rearward, if I remember correctly.

OK ya'll are confusing me, not really hard to do by the way!!

Could someone make a list of ALL the mags that will fit the SK?? I've seen P2000, now P30, are there others?? I'd like some extra capacity range mags for my SK .40.

Thanks,
