Hello to all,
I have a question about some markings on a USPc 357. Background: I just bought this gun brand new in the case 3 10rnd. mags nad all the goodies from CDNN for $549. Thought that was a pretty good deal. Question: On the case along w/ the usual red HK on the other side is in red HK w/ a JS and under that is Jagd und Sportwaffen and some other German stuff. Does this mean hunting and sport arms. On the slide and chamber area of the barrel the HK has a JS in a circle beside it and it looks to be filled in w/ a subtle bronze color. Looks real nice. Never seen this before. Any ideas? Date code is 2004 if this means anything. Thanks in advance and take care.

i was thinking about getting the same thing or the p2000sk with the two barrels in 357 and.40 from cdnn. I really want to have a 357 sig round. let me know how it works out for you.

The "JS" markings are the german initials for the sporting division. It stands for Jagd- und sportwaffen and you can read more about them at this link. (http://www.heckler-kochjs.de/default.php)

I don't have those markings on my cdnn USPc 357, but it is my new carry pistol. Love it, and it will be riding my hip for awhile. congrats on your purchase.

Thanks to all. Very impressed w/ the gun so for. The 357 Sig round is my fave. A great round. It is too bad HK is giving up making it. I don't understand why people don't buy HKs in 357. Sig and Glock don't seem to have a problem. Oh well, I can understand it from a business aspect though. Buy one, you will not be dissapointed.

Mr Swisher at HK said the discontinuation of 357sig was only for the USP series of pistols and not the P2000 series, and they had no plans to discontinue 357sig in the P2000 series.

I also have a hunch (unconfirmed) that HK will eventually be discontinuing all of the USP series and will focus on the P2000 + P3000 (P30) for their future production.
