So I have two Sig pistols, but feel like I'm getting the H&K bug :28: . So my issue is that I have never fired an H&K. I am really looking to get something other than a Sig and began looking at the Kimber line. I have shot them before and really like them, but I really don't want to get another .45 at this time ( maybe later ). I also looked at Beretta, but wasn't really that impressed. Not taking anything away from Beretta, it just wasn't me. I have become intrigued with the P30 model however. I really feels nice in the hand and really feels sturdy. I feel like it is the type of weapon you could carry all day, pull out and fire and have no worries of any sorts. I also was interested in the P2000 line as it is also very nice to hold and both have great reviews from a reputable company. Now none of the ranges in my area that I have been to have any H&K pistols for rent, so I have yet to be capable of firing one, but I am pretty aquainted with various pistols and manufacturers, so I am certain I won't have any issues. I just really wanted to ask your honest opinions on the two makes I've listed and how great is firing an H&K. As stated have shot a few pistols before and really have only been taken by the Kimber and Sig line. I didn't care alot for the Glock model 23 as well as a few others but have heard great things about H&K. Everyone is different and likes different things I know, but it seems that thousands and thousands strong can't be wrong. Thanks for anyone who gives any info and insight into this and for all opinions given. I hope to have reports on one of these two models soon and for an enjoyable stay here on the forum.

try to find a place that will let you fire the gun first if not you can always buy the p30 or p2k in DA/SA like your sigs are (im assuming) and it will pretty much fire the same way. p30 only comes in 9mm. dont know what caliber your sigs are and if you want to keep to the same caliber. the p2k can be 9mm/40/357sig.

Welcome aboard. Buy the P30 you will love it. Like you I was looking for my First HK to own. I was going to buy the P2000 in .40. Since I don't own one. I have a 92F. While looking at this site. And reading what everyone had to say about the P30. Well my LGS finally got the P30 in. I picked it up and said that's my New HK. I loved the way it fit my hand. Like HK made it just for me. I had not fired an HK. I ordered my P30. 3450 rounds later. Still loving my P30.

I have the new H&K Holy Trinity (HK45, HK45C, and P30). The HK45C is essentially a P2000 in .45 ACP. I can tell you that it is my preferred carry weapon, primarily because of the chambering in .45. I love to shoot it and think it is a wonderfully accurate weapon. However, the P30 is my favorite to shoot. of the bunch. The recoil is great and the ergonomics are incredible. The weapon is small looking (in my hands) and easily controlled with what recoil there is.

I don't think you'll be disappointed in the P30.

None of the above. Call CDNN and order a grade A P7. IMO it's hands down the best gun HK has ever built.

+1 on the P7PSP. It's a great pistol and the most accurate 9mm I've owned. After you get a P7 then you can look at the other HKs. All are great weapons, it's just that a P7 should be the foundation of any shooters HK collection. CDNN has a good deal on their grade A PSPs. JMHO :)

I don't have anywhere near the experience or credibility of these other posters but some stuff I've read from other people who have comparison shot the P2000 vs. the USPc indicates their preference for the USP, an identical sentiment to mine. The USP fit my hand better, I couldn't find a backstrap that felt good with the P series, and it didn't give me the same positive tactile feedback I expected. That being said, you absolutely have to feel them in your hands to make a decision and it seems the P may be a closer feeling to your Sigs.

P30 is an improvement on the P2000 series. Might as well get the latest.

The P2000 V3 9mm is my CCW and I love it. It feels like it was made for my hand. That being said, you really can't go wrong with either a P2000 or a P30.
