Is Eezox safe to use on polymer frames like H&K's?

I ask because it is chlorinated, and that is not good for plastics.

I have been using it for over a year now and have had no problems. I love the way it dries without any sticky film. It also is one of the best anti corrosion products available. Follow the directions.

Quoted from the H&K armorers manual:

"SOLVENTS - Mineral sprits, dry cleaning solvents such as Varsol, Safety Clean #105.
Never gasoline! These are for general cleaning throughout the gun.
Some Biodegradable solvents can leave a gummy residue.

BORE CLEANERS - Hoppe’s Nitro Solvent, Shooter’s Choice, etc. Any commercial bore
cleaner.

BORE BRUSHES - Bronze bristle, copper, and brass are recommended. Nylon is OK. Never
ever use stainless steel.

PATCHES - Soft and absorbent. We recommend Knit patches as woven patches may
leave strings. Southern Bloomers is excellent.

LUBRICANTS - Break-free, Eze-ox, Slick 50 1-lube, etc.

PRESERVATIVES - Break-free, Ballistol, Rig, etc. "

I'll take a wild guess here and say they're not recommending something that will dissolve the gun. ;-)

Quite a few members here, including those who are more than qualified to comment on the subject, have advised against using chlorinated cleaners.

Mineral spirits will just about take anything off of anything! It's an incredible cleaner, just make sure not to get it near something you don't want to dissapear.

It works!

i use the hell out of EEZOX, It is the best all around product there is. I've had it all over my Sigs, H K's, Glocks, and everything else for the past 10 years and there's not a dang thing wrong with them.

I use it as a general cleaner and rust inhibitor. It isn't what I use for lube (Militec), but it goes on all my guns fairly often and I've never seen any effect on the frames.

Midway now sells it. I use Kroil as a cleaner then EEZOX. I will often put Millitec grease on the rails.

I've been using it for 6 years now on my uspc .45, no problem or issues to report.

Hope this helps!

Eezox is not for the polymer frame - but you already know that!

Put it on all metal parts for superior rust protection and youre 'good to go'.
