You might still get lucky with a NIB, some guns sit in shops for years between delivery and sale! Good luck.

Some are still out there NIB but I believe your dealer is correct, HK is no longer making them. However, they can still be had if you do your shopping. I'd check with CDNN. They still have some Custom Combat with the tan frame. Just like the stainless steel pistols, they have been DCed (from importation) quite a while but they still turn up from time to time NIB. Good luck.

Yea, I see that, thanks! What's the difference between the Custom Combats and the regualr USP's?

Spart, I don't know where you are located but Whittaker Guns here in Kentucky had several NIB tan frames. You may want to check on there web site. They have good deals most of the time. I hope this helps.

Don't forget Gordon Miller gm1854@aol.com He might have a colored frame laying around in the back room. He's out of Greer SC...... Here's his web page /www.hkspecialist.net/products.php :)

My local shop has a USP .40 in the tan frame NIB. It's been sitting in the display case for at least a year.
I'll be going there on Sat to pick up a new Sig.
If you want I'll see if he's willing to deal on it?

Thanks for the offer, but I am looking for a 45. There is a show in a few weeks near me and if I don't stumble upon on there, I might call some of the people that are listed in this thread.
Thanks guys.

I wouldn't wait around, since the colored frames are becoming scarce, someone reading this thread my snatch it out from under you. If you want it I suggest you get now, you can always sale it (probably for what you paid if you haven't shot it yet) later, if you find a better deal.
The Tan frame looks ok, I think the OD Green rocks...I love my OD Green Tactical .45! :)
All the color USP are getting harder to find, be patient tho, a great deal may be just a 'click away'.
[Update]My new CDNN Catalog arrived today. Tan USP Custom Combat with DecalGrip and Novak fiber optic sight/2 12 round mags is on sale for: $739.99 on Page 13

If you get desperate, I could help out.

I´m sorry to inform you but that information is incorrect. The USP line of pistols was discontinued from importation to the United States. The entire line as well as the P8 and the P10 are still available for purchase in Europe as you can see by their European website:

Yea, I saw that in their online catalog and called them for a price. Definitely considering it. Anyone have closeups pictures of what the sights look like? I did a search but am having a hard time finding the differences between the CC and regular USP, other than the sights. Different trigger?
EDIT: Nevermind, pretty much found my answers here:
http://www.hkpro.com/forum/showthread.php?t=67048&highlight=CUSTOM+COMBAT
Looks like it's the exact same other than the color options, different sites, and grip stickers.
My tan Custom Combat seems to have alot better trigger in it than my regular USPf 45. Its alot lighter pull in DA than regular USPf, maybe the assembly guy grabed a match trigger by mistake?

Where do you get the decal grips that go around the HK USP (or just USP on newer guns). I saw some, but they covered it up. Do you have to cut them out?
Thanks guys!
96GTS:They come precut, just make sure they say they are for your usp. They look like a solid piece in the package but the are cut where it says usp at the bottom of the frame. I forgot where I got mine, but I think you can order them straight from their website (http://www.decalgrip.com Out of the box it came with the sandpaper type and I switched to the rubber.

Getting the color frame USP fullsize 45s was my latest grail quest, By keeping an eye out I was able to find all three: Tan, Green, and Gray. I found them on Gunbroker and Auction Arms, NIB. CDNN has them too; another way is to Google what you want.

Gunbroker.com, but it was from a private individual, not a dealer. (by the way he sent it with hi-cap mags, which I can't own here- I put them up for sale/trade on the WTS forum; someone do me a solid and take them).
I also decided to pick up a 40 in Green, just because:
http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn163/3crowns_photos/004.jpg
and also found a used 40 compact in Grey on the Snipershide.com sales forum:

Thanks. I gave it a quick lube down and got 200 WWB rounds for her this week!
Oddly enough, the test shell was dated in Sept 2004 (date code AE)! During my searches about this particular pistol, I saw someone else had a similar situation.
Now I have to find the best, sturdiest rail adapter to mount my TLR-2.

The Tan looks the best IMHO.
What do you think about the front sight with the fiber optic insert?
I was thinking about having mine replaced, because it looks fragile.

Perhaps for the Limited Edition Color Frame USP run, they took existing pistols with Black frame and just switched a colored one in its place?

The colored frames are all AE date codes, having been built only during the '04 production run.

I like it. However, I haven't even shot the thing yet so I will be interested in seeing its durability. I will probably leave it there as long as I can. It something happens (breaks or falls out), which I don't anticipate, I will just get night-sites.
