Hello All,

Although this is my first post, I've been a member here for a little while, and have gained a great amount of insight into HK from lurking the forums.

I currently own 2 HK's, a P2000 9mm and a recently aquired P7. My question is around re-rinishing the P7. I have contacted several reputable refinishers, and am leaning towards having ML Sec Pro refinish my p7 in their Blue/Black factory finish. The problem is I can't find pics or any posts from owners that have had this done to their gun. If anyone has experience with ML Sec Pro's refinishing, please post a reply...a picture would be great.

Thanks,

Greg

I can't help you with that finish but I had mine hard chromed. In discussions with HK, they suggested Robar for what that's worth.
Here's a shot of the newly HC'd.

Unless you're dead set on ML Sec Pro, check out CCR refnishing. Imparticular their House Black.

Robar is good too, but IMHO, a little over priced, and you'll end up waiting a little longer than other refinishers.

Oh and uhh.. Rex.. love the avatar!

Thanks for the replies.

I am considering HC and Nickel, but I like the original factory black finish. CCR's work looks great, and is cheaper than MLSP, but the one thing I liked about MLSP is they totally strip the gun, including pressing out the barrel. They do a full safety test including checking all spring rates. They also give you an appointment for your work.

The negative...cost. They are the most expensive.

The fact that this is a police trade-in is leading me towards a refinisher that knows HK's and will do a complete safety check.

Thoughts?
