Hi all,

I have two USP's, a fullsize and a comp, both in .40. The comp has seen many many rounds and the trigger is actually quite nice (for an HK). However, my fullsize pistol has not been shot that much and the trigger is quite crappy, to be honest. And since this is now my primary gun for IDPA ESP division, I need to improve it.

Now since I live in South Africa and we do not have any HK smiths in my region, is there any advice on a home trigger job? I noticed the trigger bar is very loose and causes an uneven feel when releasing the trigger from the fired position to reset.

I'm thinking of turning and inserting nylon spacers/bushes to try and take up the extra play. Has anyone tried this before?

Any other advice will be greatly appreciated. I love my USP, but the trigger is a bit of a let-down compared to most other SA/DA guns.

Thanks!

If you can order a Hk-45 sear this will vastly improve the trigger pull over, the sear is interchangeable with the USP.
