have been looking at getting a USP CT in .45, I have held and shot the regular compact in .45, the threaded barrel is whats attracting me to the tactical version. anyone here want to say what they like/dislike about the usp 45ct?

I don't like the bobbed hammer which makes it difficult to manually cock. Other than that it's a perfect gun. I like the raised sights on mine.

Cue the James Bond music!
Nice pics, aroundlsu. I love the one where the casing is just starting to eject.

Yeah talking about shooting with a wet suppressor, in that last shot it came a torrential hurricane-like storm one afternoon. I got soaking wet running from my car to the house so since I was already soaked I grabbed the USP CT and went in the backyard and started plinking. Between the noise of the rain falling, the rain itself absorbing the sound, and the suppressor doing its thing, it was a very surreal experience. I think you could have been standing five feet behind me and not known I was shooting a .45 caliber handgun.

You guys may think I'm nuts, but I think he looks like a member of the royal family.
Very James Bond. Cool gun, LSU.

If you do not like the bobbed hammer, why don't you replace it with the standard hammer? You can get them from CDNN (http://www.cdnninvestments.com/hkusp9mdahan.html) (V1/3/9) for only $10 plus $15 shipping, so better buy some mags too! The Compact and the full size both take the same hammers so unless you have the LEM just swap the hammers out for a "horned" one.
Here is my CT clone, before they released the CT to the civilian market.

Found there is nothing to dislike about the CT with a LEM & thread protector.

Aside from the top cartridge being in backwards, it looks like someone fabricated that from TWO USPc magazines. You can see the weld line if you look closely.
Nice job, whoever did it. How many does it hold? Looks to be 12-15 perhaps.

Yup, I had two mags TIG welded together (after cutting the top off one of course). It holds 12 rounds and I had to use the 170 mm STI spring. I did the same thing with USP .45s (pictured below), Mark 23s, and USPC-40s ten round mags after the ban ended and ended up with 17 round magazines. When CDNN had a $19.99 sale on USPC .45 8 round mags I figured, why not give a couple the same treatment?

While they function 100% they are really pretty worthless and proves even a poor guy can have more money than since!
The backwards cartridge has been standard posting procedure since the original 2004 HK catalog cover.

Thanks for the comments guys. I do in fact have more pictures of the gun in motion. In fact, our production company just got a Varicam (a super high end variable speed HD video camera) so I plan to take it out soon and crank the frame rate all the way up. I don't think it'll go high enough to see the bullet exit but you never know.
Until then, here are the other pictures I have:

My Flickr album is here with lots of pictures of my various gun stuff. Some it is tastefully NSFW so..
