For California P7M13 owners

If you guys already knew this...Why didn't you tell me!

I have a P7M13 and the Mags are/were worn out. I emailed HK parts and chatted with Adam. He sent me two "Magazine repair/replacement kits." Same price as new magazines.

Each kit contained a spring, mag body, two piece baseplate and follower.

They are German made and fit and function flawlessly.

So if you live in CA. and need to repair/replace your preban mags this may help you.

Mag repairs kits are perfectly legal to sell in California. I recently sold a Para P13, sold the gun with the magazine disassembled into a "kit".

Perfectly legal, now if the buyer of a kit assembles the kit, then that is illegal. If they use just say the body of the new mag kit and use their old springs then that's cool.

I did find out that mag repair kits were legal. The problem I ran into was that I could not find an in state supplier and the out of state ones would not sell a kit or a disassembled magazine I could use for parts to California.

I finally found two that would sell me a parts kit but one wanted to add a surcharge.

Fortunately HK parts sold me a complete parts set for the cost of a magazine with no surcharge. I used the two sets I bought to rebuild the four preban mags I already had.

I don't know for sure but I suspect they would also have repair kits for the rifle guys in Calif. too.

P7M10 mags are also the same as a P7M13 mag and will work in either. Just different stampings. I have seen quite a few M13's for sale with no mags in Ca. You know you are a HK fan when you buy a $2000+ single shot 9mm.
