I recently acquired a USP 40c V3 at a price I could not pass up. I really wanted a V1, but I jumped on this figuring I could change it over. Now I have seen several different opinions on the parts I need for this. One said I just need to swap in the V1 detent plate, others said I need a new control lever too. I don't mind not having the safe and fire marked on the lever if the v3 lever will work. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Bigbore is the man when it comes to USP's. Try doing a search of his posts, he probably has answered this before. I remember him posting somthing before about variant conversions.

Thanks IMTHESKI, that helped a lot and answered my question. I'll have to work on doing more thorough searches in the future.

The only thing needed is the V1 Detent plate. You don't need a new lever unless you want the S and F markings . Its an easy swap to do by following these directions....

You can buy the Detent plate here.......
