I will be building a USPf 45 Custom Sport hybrid if I dont get the Hk45. And in that case need some replacement sights. I've narrowed it down to Meprolight Adjustable Tac Sights, Enterprise Arms Ghost Rings and XS sights. 1)Which is better for sight acquisition? 2)Which is better suited for all around(general) use? I've never used any of these, so input would be appreciated.

well I don't own those, but I do have trijicon, and they work pretty well. people who checked them out on my gun loved it.

In my experience, XS sights are the quickest for daylight acquisition, but slower for precise shots or low light shooting because I tend to "over think" them. If I got more trigger time I would probably get over that, but ammo is constly these days....

I never did see the benefit of a ghost ring sight for a handgun, since the ring is not close enough to your face to make the sight picture intuitive. It seems like the ring is so thick it could obstruct the sight picture. To be fair, I haven't ever shot with one; just handled them at guns shows, etc..

If you are going with regular three dot sights, the Meprolights are pretty hard to beat. The adjustable sights are pretty robust, and I really appreciate that they house their tritium lamps in PVC instead of simply painting the white rings on. I get tired of re-painting the rings on my trijicon sights about once a year. Also, in my experience the Meprolights have been a little brighter longer than my Trijicons, but I know some folks who claim the exact opposite.

Thanks Fall Guy,

Was kinda leaning towards the Meps anyways. Hell I might get the Meps and just the rear(standard black) ghost ring. That way I could play with both while saving a little moolah.
