View Full Version : Anyone heard of KG-12 Copper Remover?
For the many who have a hard time getting Hoppe's #9 to work well on the bore, this looks real interesting but I haven't heard first-hand of anyone using it. So, anyone here try this?

M-Pro 7 products works really well and are non-toxic. They have a Copper remover that supposedly works really well. I bought the M-Pro 7 kit from brownells.com a couple weeks ago and the cleaner works better than Hopes #9..it leaves the bore squeaky clean with no fumes.

Jeez.. I cant imagine that stuff would be good for the barrel.
Just do the Hoppes 4 day soak.
It takes a while, but it gets the job done without doing any damage.

Try some of the foaming Hoppe's Elite stuff for copper or Mpro-7 bore gel.
I use KG products, including KG-12, to clean my stainless steel AR barrel. At times, I do use KG-12 for my pistols, but rarely, as I've not experienced much of copper fouling.
Since I've not used any other products for copper removal, I can't draw any comparisons, but, as is, I am quite happy with KG Industries products.
I shoot alot of "overbore" long guns (7mmSTW, .223 WSSM etc...) NOTHING beats Bore Tech Eliminator for copper removal. I've tried 'em all and this stuff is amazing. Before this I resorted to using an outers foul out. Now I really don't need it at all. Works great on the handguns too. Smells like water and non-toxic to boot.
