Just snatched up a P30 and I'm ready to get yet another HK...
My options right now are -
HK P30L
HK45
HK45c
HK USPc 45
HK P2000sk in 9mm
BUT then I thought, Is HK coming out with anymore new handguns in the near future?

The next available HK handguns that we may see is the HK45 and HK45c Tactical. Other then the Tacticals I can't see any new HK handguns coming out for some time. The HK45 took almost 4 years to become available and the P30 took a couple years as well.
Of the guns listed I would get the HK45 or find a police trade-in P7 or new/LNIB P7M8.

Only future ones coming out would be the HK45 and 45c Tactical...and there is no clue when they will be released anytime soon.
I would get the HK45.

Also HK is working on a match trigger for the p30 which will probably also work with the p30L. They may just release the trigger or role out with a p30/p30L tactical.

HK is not coming up with anymore handguns. They just fired all of the design engineers and the janitors in that wing of the building. There will be no more development of HK pistols.
But they are going to make sewing machines, again. So that's good news.

HK45 is your next gun.
Just picked up a P30L and I like it more than my P30. But I already have a USP 45CT :-)

HK45 is your next gun.
That's what everyone keeps telling me!
Why do I need to get that one over all the rest?

We might see a the P-30 or HK45 in a coupe of more calibers , like .40 or .357SIG.
A P-30 Longslide in .357SIG would be nice.

Not to hijack your thread but I wonder if they will produce a "tactical" version of the P30? Match trigger, threaded barrel, tall sights.

...unless they make it in 45 gap! LOL YEAH RIGHT! :37:

I talked to a HK rep today (in person), he told me he has heard nothing about plans to produce a HK45 or HK45c in tactical version.
I don't know what to think of his comment, HK tends to keep there reps in the dark.

I'd just be happy with LEM versions of the P30 and HK45/45C (w/o having to send them in for conversion yourself).
I've heard rumors of a .40 version of the HK45/HK45C. That would be cool.

Last time I spoke to a HK rep. I was disappointed with their knowledge, and enthusiasm for the HK brand. For some of the rep's it is just another job and they may as well be representing some cell phone manufacturer for all they care. If I was HK, I would pool my rep. base from this forum as I have learned so much more from here than speaking to any rep. Also I am not knocking all HK rep's as I am sure there are some that are HK fanatics and know everything under the sun about their brand but I have just not had the pleasure of meeting one. I wouldn't put much emphasis on anything a low level rep. would say.

yeah kind of like some car salesmen know there stuff and fans of the product, while others don't know crap and could care less about brands.

Not to put down any rep who lives and breathes his company, but it is only a job. I would never expect the knowledge or enthusiasm that you would find on a forum. You cannot expect a rep to have the same level of fanaticism or obessiveness to match either your own level or what you will find inside a forum.

Except that it is his job to. :D

The "it is only a job" attitude is the attitude that is providing us consumers with poor customer service. Percentages of the amount that you pay for goods and services is specifically allocated towards paying customer service reps. that are quite frankly providing sub par customer service. Why should we pay for bad service? Now I always praise good customer service when I come across it as it now feels like some sort of a luxury when someone is performing their job well these days.
As for the HK rep. that had a sub par knowledge base for his products is inexcusable. I expect a rep. to know his or her product that is sitting in front of them. They are of course sent to the show to answer questions about the products that are on display. You must understand that this show that I was attending was about a couple months after the HK45 made it's debut. It is their job to get lookers excited and interested in the companies product, gauge interest, and sell. This individual struggled to answer a simple question. He did not know how many back straps the HK45 came with. I had to answer the question for him. It would be a different story if someone asked the rep. about the metallurgy composition of some part or about a HK fire arm that wasn't present at the show. A level of knowledge should be expected and especially about the products on display. The rep. had not even shot all the models that his booth had on display. One of which was the p30.
HK probably doesn't even worry what most of us think anyway, what with all of the military/international contracts it has.

I agree. Which is why I am glad the Norwegians pushed for the P30L or we probably would never have saw it. At least so soon.
