I just spoke with a friend of mine who just received a bunch of HK P7's that were imported by PW arms. They are the P7 model so no heat shield. The only down side I see so far is they are marked PW Arms on the slide. Some other differences I have heard between them are some are marked made in Germany and some W. Germany. Anyone have any knowledge, pics or opinions. Prices in other areas are always great to know as well. I didn't find that part out yet.

I heard about $800. A guy on PCT said they aren't refinished by the factory like the PSPs are, but are mostly in very good shape.
Don't forget, Ski, only the P7M8 is on "The List.":650:

Touché. I'd rather have the P7M8 than the PSP, though. I suppose it's moot because we're not carrying either one out here.

I want a nickel or hard chromed PSP for a CCW because I'm always afraid I'll accidently drop the mag out. It's probably an unfounded fear, and it hasn't happened yet, but that thought is always nagging at me.
But I do enjoy my M8 and M13s.

I want a refinished PSP with one of those matte silver finishes - I think NP3? I'd put a set of wood grips on it and shoot the crap out of it. But... The List.
*shrug* I'm thankful I got a P7, period.

What PSPs came from the factory refinished?
Yeah, only collectors like those unusual PSPs
PW Arms was the major importer a few years ago. I've had two of them for years. What is unusual about these new ones?

Refurbished, not refinished.

There isn't. Dave was being facetious because of another unrelated thread.

$800 in a saturated market? I don't think those would move very well. The biggest problem facing new potential P7 owners is the availability of magazines. Seems like they've all but dried up, save for the person here or there selling new ones for $60 a pop.
From what I understand, these are surplus pistols as well. What makes them command a $200 premium over last year's Saxony imports? The P7 madness continues...

The one I looked at looked NIB. A complete box, all accessories, 2 mags, target, manual and a perfect gun. I would have bought if I didn't already have two. $800 at Gander Mountain, maybe less at other stores or online.
The same day I saw a new P7M8 come in for someone, (a transfer). It was a AH dated, HK Firearms marked pistol that probably ran around $1500. $800 isn't so bad compared to that.

I'm only stationed in Ca. I'm a resident of the free state of Arizona!
I will post more on the newest batch of imported P7's as soon as I see one. I am guessing by Sunday or so, it all depends. I am curious about the P W Arms markings on the slide.

The one I saw was in the 70K serial # range.
It had a BW cartouche.
The PW Arms marking was poorly done, on the right, front of the slide.
Had a matching box.
That's all I remember.

We have to compare apples to apples. Compared to the M8 market price, any P7 is a good deal. When comparing surplus P7s to other surplus P7s, the Saxony guns seem like a better deal. Lots of folks (present company included) received LNIB "A" and "B" pistols with complete original boxes, and paid a heckuva lot less than $800. The extra mag adds another $40 to the value. Are folks really willing to pay $150 more for a test target and more unsightly import markings? I think they are good folks, but both the timing and pricing are way off for PW.
It BETTER have the latest, pre-installed version of Vista! :D

Watch CDNN. They will have them soon and they will be a lot cheaper than $800 I'd wager.

I forgot all about these. Wow, they are ugly. Why would anyone go and ruin a perfectly good P7 and put their name all over it like that.

Germany joined the UN Small Arms Treaty.
Meaning from now on German Police and Military guns and accessories will be destroyed on the German taxpayer expense rather them getting some good money for it!

Remember last Christmas when CDNN were selling some for $499? I'll be ready this December!
