I am seriously looking to buy a Brand new Mark 23 which i fondled on Saturday at my local shop. It was going for $2139.00 I guess what i'm asking is should i get it are there any problems with the new ones i know the finish is different than the original i just want one before they really are discontinued. Also any accuracy info would be appreciated!

I know one thing if i had the the cash to drop on that i would, but 2K is just too much for my wallet for a handgun..

I bought two from the last run that are consecutively numbered and "AI" date coded. I am VERY glad I did. Amazing guns. the finish is darker and sleeker looking than my other HK's. I like it very much. You will be upset with yourself if you find it hard to get a NIB one in the future. I had to wait 2 years for mine to come in.

If ordering online is option, I suggest you shop around. You can definitely find a better price.

CDNN and Bachman Pawn and Gun, both out of Texas, have them usually for about $1800 NIB. Give them a call.

BB is correct--- NIB for around $1,800.00--- $2,139.00 is a bit high, unless there are extra parts and/or accessories!!! :43:
But, to answer your query--- YES!!!

I almost bought a used one for 2K with 10 mags and the MK23 'suppressor'.

I don't own safe queens so a used one didn't bother me one bit.

I have seen them around for as low as $1700. I waould say if it's somthing you know you want, go for it! Just make sure your getting a good deal first. Like the others have said here $2139+ is price gouging. if you shop around, think of all the extra mags you could buy with the extra money you save! ;)

HKmaster - Definitely get one soon, or you will regret it later. As far as the price, if it is a black Mk23, they usually command a little higher price than the tan frame ones. However, $2139.00 is a bit too high. Check on www.gunbroker.com and www.gunsamerica.com. Then go into your gun store and negotiate a fair price.

Isn't MSRP 2200 or 2400 bucks or something?
Anything under that can't be called "gouging".

That being said, market price is market price, and what you're willing to spend on something defines whether or not it's a good deal.

BTW, just for reference on gouging: A gun shop in Scottsdale has sold them for 2,999.95. And I think we can all agree that is gouging. But going back to what I said. Someone was willing to pay it, so they live with that decision.

But honestly I would never consider paying under MSRP "gouging" and in fact would consider anything under a fair price.

So did you get the "Hammer of Thor"? If so, did you shoot her and what did you think? I always shoot way too much ammo and have way too much fun when I take the Mark 23 to the range. Amazing accuracy too, makes me think I'm starting to figure out how to shoot! Did everyone at the range drool and ask to shoot it? Hate it when that happens.
