Jet Funnel System?

When HK mags are brand new (Jet Funnel), do they need a longer break-in period than other mags? Mine have a tendency to develop a rattle when fully loaded, almost as if the double stack within the magazine has misplaced a round. This system is awesome, and I just got it yesterday, so I have not fired it but I have loaded and reloaded several times to try and fix the rattle.

No, they need no more break in than any other mag. What you are seeing in the rattle is quite often a result of when the rounds are put in one gets "unstaggered." That is sometimes the cause but not always. Some mags, for reasons only known to the HK gods, rattle when fully loaded and there is absolutely nothing that can be done about it. You can reduce it by being careful when you load so that each round gets staggered to the one below and the one above and by giving the magazine a rap on the back side to seat all the cartridges to the back of the mag. That sometimes helps but even then, some mags just tend to rattle.

I had some 10 rounders that rattled, but none of my hi-caps seem to have that problem.
