Hopefully false, but I read online that H&K was considering dropping the P2000 line. Anyone know if that's (again, hopefully) false?
Don't worry, if the P2000 is dropped it will still shoot...
Seriously, where did you hear this?

until they come out with a P30SK, I doubt that will happen.

I wouldn't read too much into most of the internet rumors flying around. I don't even think H&K knows what H&K is keeping or dropping from one dept. to the next.
Since the P2000 is an issue pistol for certain Homeland Security groups, border agents and (I think) Federal Air Marshals, I think it is safe for now. I would guess that the USP series would be let go before the P2000 is.

I dont think they'll be dropping it. My buddy is a Border Patrol agent, and they're issued P2000 in .40. They also get all the HST ammo they can shoot...lucky bastards.

I got one of these a few weeks ago, and I love it...
I can't see H&K discontinuing them without a good reason, +1 to skylito and others

that and they still have multiyear contracts around the world to fulfull. LOL They would basically have to have ZERO contracts left and all existing ones expired.

I read in on another gun forum - later the OP figured out theat it was just the 357 Sig in the USP, I think, rather than the P2000. I thought it sounded off, so I wanted to ask. I've been considering a P2000sk as my first H&K purchase, and I wanted to make sure before I decided.

You'll love the little SK! I got mine in 9mm and love it - almost as much fun to shoot at the range as his big brothers.

How long has the USP been around? Since 93.. The USP work horse is here for the haul and due to the current contracts the P2000 as well..

The P2000 will absolutely be discontinued, but I doubt there's any timeframe for that.
Until they have a P30 in .40 and possibly .357, and a subcompact version, the P2000 will still have a place in the HK lineup.

I love my P2000SK, but can't carry it. The last round in every magazine jumps out of the mag and stovepipes or misfeeds, and sometimes the second to last, too. I believe it's probably weak mag springs, but it's going to have to wait until I have more time to find some, and experiment. I've got the same problem from all mags. They sit loaded all the time...but that shouldn't have any bearing at all on spring condition.
As for being discontinued...haven't heard that.

sns3guppy,
If you don't mind my asking, what caliber is your SK? Do Wolff springs usually cure those type of feeding issues in HK's?
