I ordered one from CDNN today after all the great recommendations that I saw on this forum.
The offered the best price that I could find anywhere. Chuck and Marshall were both great to work with. Really friendly and patient as they explained how to buy a gun online and the FFL transfer process etc.
On top of that, my gem will come with free shipping and a free laser!
Can't wait to get it.

Congrats! I like mine well enough. Not really practical for my use but I thought it would surely pi** off a liberal or two and it is truly a pleasure to shoot. Enjoy.

How did you get to see their firearms without being a dealer and having a dealer pass code?
I read posts here about all of their good deals but every time I go try to look, I can't get in. I only get to see the accessories and parts.
No matter how many different ways to access the firearms pages, I hit the dealer password required. Frustrating.

Download the catalogue to look at the picts.
Then call for pricing. Have your FFL's info ready if you think you are going to purchase something.

What DrJWelch said. I just figured that out today. I ended up just calling them and asked for pricing and asked about the FFL procedure.
I called a local dealer and they work w/ CDNN fairly regularly, so they just said, "sure have them send the gun over." Didn't take my name or number or anything... apparently that all comes w/ the gun.
Called CDNN back and they hooked me up. SOCOMs are in stock for $1800

Hulk,
I pick up my Tac45 in the morning. I cannot freakin wait. I have had to wait b/c my dealer and I have had opposite schedules x weeks but we have a date in the morning. :62:
He is a friend and the price is right. It gives us a reason to keep in touch so he acts as my FFL - although it is not the quickest it works.

Well CDNN said it ships on Monday and should arrive in 1 or 2 days to my dealer.
I can't freaking wait either. BTW, can someone recommend night sights for the fullsize tactical? I think Meprolight is the only one that will clear a can which I plan on getting eventually.
Does HK offer factory night sights and installation?

Hulk, would you mind telling how much you paid for the USP tac??
My brother is in the market for one as well and is looking for a good deal.

Thank you. That is a good price for a NIB USP tac, but still above what he can spend. I guess he'll have to settle for a used one. :28:

So once I get it, is there anything I need to do other than clean it? And is a first time cleaning really necessary?
I started shooting my USP 40c right out of the box and went 500 rounds with no issues before its first cleaning.

Just called and added a 12 round mag to the order. They said that it may come tomorrow, but it'll probably arrive on Wed.

Yeah. I called HK CS and they told me to definitely clean all the gunk off first.

You do need to clean and lube it before shooting the first time around. That goes for any weapon you might buy. When taking it to the range for the first time get some decent ammo to feed it and try it off a bench rest. That way you'll get a better feel for its accuracy potential. I enjoy the heck out of mine. It's purely a range day pistol for me. While I have read about some boys that carry theirs it doesn't seem real practical. One great pistol though.

Yeah, my pistol didn't arrive today, but hopefully tomorrow. Can't wait to take it to the range.

I just picked it up and it looks beautiful. Can't wait to clean off the preservative goo and take it to the range!
Got my extra mag and laser as well. CDNN rocks! Just wish I lived outside of Texas, then I wouldn't have to pay tax either. I would recommend CDNN to anyone looking to buy a gun, HK or otherwise.

I'll try and post pictures later tonight with the cleaned up gun and laser installed.
