Years ago I remember looking at all the gun mags at the 40 compact that HK was coming out with...I couldn't hardly wait! As soon as they came out my friend went to the Raleigh, NC gunshow and bought one. I thought I wanted one but after I held and shot his I was in love...or lust... whatever. Later on when I could afford it I got a used 40C for $425 with nightsights...seems cheap now but that was a lot of money for me then. Later I sent it to Checkmate and had the slide hardchromed and now no telling how many thousand rounds later I still carry it everyday. I have bought and sold many pistols but my 40C is a keeper.. Best $425 I've ever spent.http://i368.photobucket.com/albums/oo130/LWKITT/IM000360a.jpg

For me the recoil on the HK USP 40C was uncomfortable and I sold mine.

What is your secret? I find my USPf 40 to be snappy (but manageable) compared to my .45s and 9s. The compact must be a handful.

It was my buddy's USP 40c that got me into HK's in the first place! Sweet sidearm, and whoever complains about the recoil must be used to 22's and 9's. (I, of course, am a glutton for punishment and got the 45c :D )

I shot mine the other day and fell back in love with it. I think both the USP and USPc .40 recoil pretty softly for .40S&W caliber pistols and just so damn accurate too! Out of all the DA triggers I have tried, IMO the USP's is the best. :)
