View Full Version : 10 rounds USP mag holding 9

I have a 10 round USP .45 magazine that I can only get 9 rounds in. When you look at the holes that tells how many rounds are in it looks as though one of the rounds doesn't stager like it should. I have two different 10 round mags one works fine. When I compare them I can't see anything wrong with the one.

Any thoughts on what I can do?

Take 'em apart > clean them, lite lube and use a HKS or Uplula mag loader until they loosen up.

watch how you load the rounds, i have a 10 rounder like that, it seemes the spring was binding on itself

Leave it with 9 rounds in it for a few days. After that you should be able to get the tenth round it without much trouble. :)

He might be in one of the nanny states that doesn't allow anything over 10 rounds.

Ditto, full size mags, not high caps. High caps would be anything OVER the normal capacity. The standard capacity or full size mags are the mags the pistol was built to be used with. The neutered mags are those that hold less than the designed amount.
USP 9mm. 15 rounds are full cap or standard cap.
USP 9mm 10 rounds are neutered mags.
USP 9mm 31 rounds would be high caps.

If we can all adopt this way of thinking then when nObama-mama wants to ban all high caps maybe we can get him to only take the 31 round mags? ROFLMAO, sure he will!

on my mags usually that last round can be a biotch to get in there.
