Hey all,
I want to get a Kydex holster for my USP compact and want an inside-the-pants concealment.
Does Uncle Mike's even have one? I checked Blackhawk! but they have LEO/MIL holsters mostly.

I love Bladetech. Plus it helps that I live 30 minutes away from their factory.

I really like the C-TAC for my P2000 but they make them for the USP Compact as well. It snugs right up and stays out of the way with your shirt tucked in over it.

The minotaur looks like it would be really nice. I wonder if anyone around here has the one for the P7?
Why kydex? Harder on the finish, and for IWB, does not form to the body as well as leather? Just wondering.

Kydex from makers such as Fist is ultra thin and work well IWB. Also, Kydex provides good sweat protection for your firearm. I wear my Fist with an undershirt so there is something there between the holster and my skin and then a cover garment.

Look at Peterscustomholsters.com. Good, very concealable IWB. Got one for my P2000 .40 cal. Fits very well and is comfortable. Straps are off-set to the sides, not directly over the holster. I find it more comfortable that way.

I use the Comp-Tac Minotaur MTAC in the winter. The leather conforms and spreads out the pressure points for comfort. During the summer in NC leather gets way too nasty for IWB unless you work inside air conditioning. Leather does not hold up well IWB in a hot climate if you have to be outside sweating. In the sweaty season I use Comp-Tac's C-Tac holster. The Kydex provides a layer of plastic to protect my HK from sweat. There were a a few "hot spots" in the Kydex at first but a few minutes with sandpaper softened it up and took care of it.

Fist makes a Kydex IWB, but I personally find leather more comfortable and form fitting. I use a Fist leather forward cant IWB clip holster with my Walther P5. Great holster for not much money.
ReadyTac makes a great kydex holster.

Hot spots??
Sorry, I'm new to this term (and forum). I just purchased the MTAC for my P2Ksk. Are these areas that contact the firearm too tightly that need to be smoothed?
Thanks.
(love my new P2Ksk, best purchase I ever made)
The Comp-Tac 2 Oclock is a good IWB holster if you would like to carry in the appendix position. Its a good holster for the shorter barrel lengths and gives a quick draw among the IWB holsters. I'm not sure if its offered in the P7 but you could give CompTac a call and see if they could make one for you. The appendix carry position seems to be getting popular lately and is a good alternative to the typical 4:00 IWB position.

Sorry. I'm one to say that "good holster" and "kydex" are three words that shouldn't go together. I can't imagine wearing one in the IWB position.

+1 for the C-Tac IWB holster. I have them for both of my Glocks (G27 & G19) and also for my S&W .41 Mag "N" Frame revolver. I can't say that the big revolver is comfortable IWB but it certainly is concealable.
Comp-Tac makes good products and their turn around time is great even on items that they don't have in stock. They make holsters for a wide range of H&K handguns.

I have a Phantom with IWB Clips for my Glock 19 and although I can't carry living in Illinois, I wear it around the house day dreaming of living in a free state someday and it is very comfortable. The 19 is a bit big for me to conceal without a hoodie or light jacket since I'm only 5'8", but that's just the grip sticking out. The rest of the firearm is invisible.
Once I get my HK45 and P30L, I'll be ordering a RCS Phantom and Phantom LC with X300 for both of them

Another vote for Crossbreed Holsters (www.crossbreedholsters.com). Their SuperTuck holster is easy to wear all day, every day, and can be configured almost infinitely for cant, height, etc. Most comfortable I've worn for long-term carry.
Another great one is the Braveheart, I believe made by Ky-Tac (www.kytac.com). It'll hide a gun really well, and is all-day comfortable, too.

As Buddman1 recommended, try Peter's Custom Holsters. I have 3 and they are the most comfortable holsters I own.

I have 3 of Greg's Holsters AND 2 Leather IWB holsters. Greg's holsters are way more comfortable than their leather counterparts. The belt loops are better located and have the ability to rotate. The gun stays put but is still rather easy to remove. They are also 1/3rd the thickness of a leather holster. Don't knock it until you try it.
:D
I spoke with a rep at Blackhawk a while back about their Carbon fiber holsters. I was a little concerned that they would wear on my pistols quicker than either leather holsters or Safariland holsters with their felt inserts. The CS rep said that they did a study and found that the Carbon was to no more rough on the pistol's finish than leather and that very often small particles get stuck in soft materials(like felt or wool) and end up damaging the pistol more than nothing at all. I wonder if anyone has found this to be true?
