I'm way over analyzing this problem, but I'd like to see what you guys think about the following 3 pistols in LEM form. Gun would not be for carry purposes. My primary requirement is good LEM pull and reset, bore axis differences, parts availability, and double-tap capability.
Thanks in advance

I'm not a LEM fan but I have all 3 in regular DA/SA form. Bore axes are all the same. Not being a LEM fan that's all I can comment on. Parts availability I don't know about because they don't break, although springs are easy to come by.

It's all the same. It really is. If it's not going to be for carry purposes, then I would suggest getting a lighter LEM put on it. I think it's great for double tap and I like it a lot. One of my reasons for going with HK. But keep in mind, it takes practice adn getting use to. You are going to find it is about 50/50 on those who like/dislike the LEM. If it is at all possible find a local range that has them to test fire or find someone on here who lives near you and has the pistol you are inquiring about. Good Luck.

I'm pretty familiar with the LEM. I'm really trying to figure out if I want the USP or P2000. And, well, if I'm going with a USP, should it be full sized? Hmmm, dang decisions. I think the full sized USP would be great for the sight radius, but I wonder why most folks seem to not like the full size. Again, not for carry, but for home/range duty.
Thanks for your responses so far.

my vote since the gun wont be used as a ccw then weight and size are not an issue. go with the bigger gun. the grip wont be too small for your hands, it holds more rounds in the mag so less reloading, longer sight radius which makes for more accurate shots. since all three guns would be a good choice id also look to see which one is cheaper

I am familiar with the LEM and I love it. I also sent my guns to Bill Springfield for a trigger job and my P2K9mm is the sweetist shooter I have. (I have 34 handguns) I'll send him my 357 Sig P2K in a week or so.

Wow, seems like nobody likes the poor old USPc anymore. I thought it'd be closer than that. The advantage of the USP series being better with +P loads, shorter reset, more parts availability and cheaper (on paper). Or am I wrong on this (I wouldn't put it past me). Granted I was looking at CDNN for the USPc V1 (and then converting it to LEM).
BTW, NO LEM parts at HK as I called them today, and they quoted $200 per gun :(.
Thanks for you answers.

WOW! I paid $80 for the kit last year when I had my USP converted

Maybe HK is joining the herd in gouging gun owners during the post-election buying spree.

My vote is for a full size service pistol. Extra sight radius and ammo. Plus less recoil.

I guess I should clarify. That 200 dollars was for the full conversion, shipping and handling, not just the kit.
My only issue with the full sized is magazines. With the USPc and P2000, those mags could be interchanged in a P2KSK should I go whole hog :) . I like not having to worry about buying different mags - especially at 40 bucks a pop.
So, if I factor in the conversion, I'm looking at least 800 for a USPc LEM, and 750 for a P2000LEM (from Clyde's). Now, if anybody has a suggestion on where to get something cheaper...well, I'm all ears (or is that eyes on here?) :)
