I know a lot of people convert their USP compacts to .40 s&w or .357 sig by changing the barrel. While HK does not sanction this, people are using .357 sig cartridges in the .40 mags. My question is, are the two USP compact mags (.357sig and .40 s&w) identical except for caliber markings?

as far as anything I have ever read/heard/seen, pretty much all 357sig/40S&W mags are the same thing, and the mags for these two in the USPc/P2k are interchangable

+1
The only thing different between the two magazines are the markings

I have both .357 and .40 mags. They are identical in every respect, and all of my .357 mags are actually marked .40c on the bottom of the base plates, although they are marked .357 SIG on the mag themselves.

I have 357 and .40 mags for my SK. Other than the markings, I can't find a difference.
