Can the spring be easly removed?

Can you easly remove the spring on the lower spring rod of an HK P2000?

I too would like to know how to disasemble the recoil spring from the rod on my USPt .45

A good sized needle-nosed pliers to lift the end over the retaining clip, and then unscrew it right off like a key-ring off a key. :)
