View Full Version : HK45c LEM: Distributed vs. Modified

Since the HK45c does not come from the mfr/distributor with LEM, I'd like to know what the differences would be between sending it back to HK for modification versus waiting until the year they distribute the LEM version?

Would they be exactly the same? Or would they have slight differences? What would those differences be? Extra markings from having a safety lever? Anything else?

On the HK45c, I want the same setup as a P2000. LEM trigger, no safety/decocker. I don't want it to look like a conversion. I want it to look original equipment from manufacturer.

I figure this can be answered by comparing models that come with/out LEM. I will assume whatever HK did with those models is what I expect to happen to the HK45c LEM model.

Thanks.

It seems that you can now order the LEM HK45c from HK. Check out the threads by kraigster414. He special ordered his HK45c from a local dealer and it came with the LEM from the factory.

If you were to purchase the HK45c and then send it to HK for the LEM conversion it would look and function exactly the same as if it came with the LEM from the factory. There is no way to tell that you sent it in to have the LEM installed.
