So I am a Walther guy inspiring to become an HK guy. When it comes to P99's, most people like the AS trigger, not me, the QA is my favorite. I am intriqued by the LEM trigger but my local shops have none that I can try. Can anyone give me an idea if they are similar? If not, what are the differences? One reason I like the QA is because the trigger breaks early in the pull and stops a good distance from the frame which aids me in accuracy. Does the LEM travel all the way to the frame like a sa/da?

Wow, no one has had experience with both?

I own a USPf 40 LEM like it. The newest Walthers I own is a pair of P5s.

My experience with both is limited. I owned the QA and have shot the LEM. My opinion is that they are very similar but my recollection is that the QA reset earlier. I very much liked the QA trigger...I could shoot my P99c very fast. I feel had I opted for the LEM in my CCW I would be happy with that too. I ended up getting DA/SA in my P2000sk.

Other than the reset, I believe these are as similar as triggers can be...better than the Glock trigger IMHO.

The LEM especially with the light 5lb V1 version is best described like the long SA pull on an AS P99. The only difference is that it doesn't 'click/lock' into short SA mode on its way to release like the P99. Release is closer to the end of the pull. Reset is quite long, not at all like the supershort reset on the AS P99.

With the V1 trigger on LEM the initial takeup is almost nonexistent, like the long SA pull on the P99 if you don't decock after chambering a round.

In my hands the V1 LEM feels pretty much like a single action with a bit of trigger takeup.

Hope this helps
