Hk logo, if refinished

The Hk pistols with the etched "Hk" logo, date code and serial #. If you were to refinish, would the "Hk" logo still be visible? I prefer the stamped logo but my new P2000SK 357/40 has the etched logo (I think it is 'etched'). Anyway, just curious.

If refinished it would be black just like the rest of the finish and you would lose the contrasting finish of the logos but you will still be able to see it although the sharpness may be reduced.

If the logo is etched there might be a possiblity that the logo will be worn off after refinishing. It depends how deep the etching is. I'm not an expert and could be wrong.
