Well I traded my glock19 after 300 rounds for the hk45 plus cash.
Some one here tell me I made the right choice, I always felt like that g19
Was bombproof and would always go bang. Are the hk45c's the same way
I put 100 rounds through the hk45c and no ftf or fte so I guess I am in good hands so far

Good choice, I came from Glock also. Everything I found showed HK to be just as reliable as a Glock, but for me a whole lot more fun to shoot. Now you need to go buy two or three more HK's and you'll feel better.

The G19 and HK45c are two of my favorite handguns. Mine have both been 100% reliable.

Thanks i hope i made a good choice...i did keep my only other handgun i have which is a Glock26.
now i just want a light that will fit the HK hk45c rail without much fuss.
I think my next HK will be a new HK45c when they do a stainless or green OD.

Sounds like a good trade to me, but now you are going to want more HKs.

I also own both, a Glock 19 & a HKc-45. Both are fine firearms and work every time. I like the HK a lot more because of the de-cocker & other saftey features.
I know a lot of Police carry Glocks, but when was the last time you ever heard of a Police Officer shooting himself in the leg, or some where else with a HK?
I belive Plexco did it with a Glock. Should of had a HK!!

I agree that carrying a glock chambered in a holster is supposed to be safe for the operator, the HK is alot more assuring.
I kept the glock 26 because i dont want to take a loss on the trade in.
but i am tempted to get another hk45c and just keep it in a safe for later while i carry the other one.
Glocks are great but i will carry my g26 un chambered for now

9mm Glock's last forever but your HK is a step up in material quality and is more accurate.

I agree and will never carry a Glock. The short trigger pull and a safety on the trigger that is next to pointless unless something was to snag the trigger on it's sides makes the Glock like a 1911 with no thumb or grip safety being carried cocked.

I carried the G19 for years. It is a great gun. IMHO. I now carry an HK45c. I like the 45 over the 9 and I like how the HK feels and shoots better.

If you aren't confident in carrying the Glock with a round in the chamber you would be better served carrying the HK45c that you feel more comfortable with carrying loaded. Not having a round in the chamber if you draw is a bigger personal safety risk then carrying a loaded Glock in a quality holster.

the g19 new is a $500 gun and the HK45c is an $750 to $900 gun. Plus some cash? Are you kidding me. How many rounds through the HK?

Good choice man, the 45c is what I am carrying right now.

Both guns are great at their own price point. I guess I'm going to have to get one of them there new HK45's as so far all my HK guns are from the higher end Tactical, Elite etc.
I guess my point is that both agencies and individuals will go for the higher priced quality when the funds are available.
I'll never knock Glock but they are about the lowest price pistol I would choose.

Nothing wrong with a G19, excellent carry piece, very reliable, great short trigger that is the same everytime. Don't get me wrong, I love the USPc. I think it was a good trade depending on cash difference.
Personally, I don't understand why folks are scared of the glock safety-wise. If I carry my USPc I don't use the safety (wish it wasn't there anyway). If I need to pull my pistol, I want it to go bang without doing anything but pulling the trigger. A good holster will prevent a AD from any decent, modern pistol.
I personally like both platforms, and at least when the Glock gets beat to crap I don't feel bad :)
Congrats on the trade, you have a great weapon, enjoy!
