I read on here people have had problems with the rail on the hk45c
Is that true?

It's true. I don't know of a full size light that will fit without modification. Surefire X-200/300, Insight Procyon or M3X, or Streamlight TLR-1/2 to name a few of the more popular lights. You can modify a TLR-1 to fit by taking the 1913 attachment and putting it in a slot further back on the light. You can't use the setscrew to lock it in place in this slot though unfortunately. I use a piece of double sided duct tape wrapped around the bottom and sides of the 1913 attachment to hold it in place in this slot. It does work well and holds the light steady, but it is somewhat annoying that I'm limited to this light. I'll try to take some pictures.
I can confirm that the X2 will work on the HK45c.

My TLR-1 will fit my 45C with those "mods", but it is a PAIN to have to unscrew the tang holding screw and pull the tang out and glue (or whatever) the tang in the rear positioned slot.
I just wish Hk reversed the position of the 'land & grooves' of the pic rail for the gun. Prob would be solved...

Have you used this light on the HK45c? I am looking for a light with or without a lazer and don't know what will fit. If anybody has one on the HK45c can you post pictures?

The problem with the X2 is it is a subcompact light. Look at it's specs from the website:
Peak Output: 40+ Lumens
Run Time: 30 mins
Compare that to any full size light out there. Here's the insight Procyon:
LED Output: 125+ Lumens
Run Time: 90 Minutes
Here's the surefire X300:
Max Output: 110 lumens (5 times the light of a two-D-cell flashlight); continues producing tactical-level light for 2.4 hours
Here's the Streamlight TLR-1:
LED Rating: Up to 7,000 candela peak beam intensity and up to 135 lumens measured system output. Deep-dish parabolic reflector produces a concentrated beam with optimum peripheral illumination
Run Time: 2.5 hours regulated run time. Solid-state current regulation for consistent illumination level.
Here's the mod you can do to make the TLR-1 fit -- I circled where the 1913 insert is supposed to go and where the setscrew is supposed to go to hold it in place. It will not fit on the 45c rail if it's in this position, but you can move it back to where i have it and use some kind of adhesive (i have duct tape on there) to make sure it stays in place.

I don't mind moving the insert back to the rear slot, but I HATE you can't keep the set screw in leaving a big hole on the side of the light.

Why don't we all sign a letter and send it in to Hk requesting a light be designed to fit the Hk45C?

It seems like the simplest fix would be to either add one more notch on the 45c's 1913 rail, since there seems to be enough room to do this or to change the trigger guard to a recurved shape like the P30 or P2000. This wouldn't help those who have one already though...
