Was it ever determined if the new Insight Tech. XTI Procyon tactical light will fit & work on the Hk45C?

I saw someone here say it would not but i imagine you will get a better answer from someone who has actually tried it.

I have a HK45c and wished to add a quality tac light. After reading many favorable reviews on the Insight Procyon I called their CS and asked if the light would fit my pistol. I have the Insight M6X and it does not fit the 45c because of the short rail. I was told by Insight that the Procyon will fit the HK45c. I ordered the light and found th it WILL NOT FIT!!. The rail on the 45c is too short. I called Insight CS and advised them of the problem. They apologized, and offered to swap it for another model such as the Insight X2L. I already have the Insight X2L which WILL FIT the HK45c. In my opinion, the X2L has a great laser, but the light output and light duration are just barely adequate. I did not return the Procyon as it now rests on my Glock 19. I do not know what HK was thinking when they made the short rail on the excellent 45c that has difficulity accepting a full size light. I did read on this site than another brand of tactical light will fit the 45c if you reposition the locking bar. Hope this helps.

The tac light you are referring to is the Streamlight TLR-2. It will fit if you move the rail adapter. Not ideal, but it works.
