Well here is my newest purchase and addition to my other HK. A traded-in HK USP .45 from a police officer in the middle of nowhere. It was apparently his personal gun. From the looks of it I don't think he shot it much, if at all. The gun was very clean and everything feels extremely tight as if the springs weren't worn in at all. It has a KK date code which means it was produced in 1999 during the Clinton years. Came with two ten round magazines. Picked it up for $550 before taxes. Was gonna get a Kimber but opted to go this route because it was cheaper, in front of me, and gave me money to buy stuff for my AR, like a rail system.
Now for the porn!

I wanted to know if I could find the extended mag plates someone to replace these ones. I have the extended ones on my P2000 and like those a lot more. Also is it possible to mod a 10 round magazine to accept 12 safely or am I SOL?

Don't mess with the mags, just do your best to find the factory 12 round mags for the pistol.

Try calling ED's Sport Shop at 570-668-1080. Just picked up a 12rd USP 45 mag from them a couple weeks ago at a gun show.

Nice gun, glad it works for you. Never really did like the grip angle of the USP series.
