Hey..

It looks like this area doesn't get much use, but I figure I will post to see who reads this.

I am from chester county, but currently live in Philly for school. Most of the time I shoot, its at the PA game commission rifle range. Its obviously less then ideal for pistols, especially considering you can only have three rounds in the gun at a time.

I want to join a local club where I can shoot rifles and pistols and have fun. I have seen a bunch of clubs on the web, but dont know much about them. Who knows of a good club in the chester county area?

Also, anyone ever shoot at targetmaster? I went there this weekend looking at guns (I want something in 40 cal.) but they were so damn busy it was hard to get any good help. Their pistol range looks nice, but it mostly looks like rookies renting their guns for their first time shooting. I would rather be in company of experienced shooters.

Any ideas, let me know.

I belong to the range at Targetmaster. It's a great place, but only during off hours.
If you go on Saturday it is crazy with too many idjits on the range. If you go during the week and even weeknights, it is all straight up professional courteous shooters who know what they are doing. I've been to quite a few ranges, and while Targetmaster isn't exactly an ultra modern facility, it its far better than anything else around.

We can shoot at SCCSFA off 926 outside of Kennett. Signup is last Mon/Tue (I forget which) of the month. We have 15-100 yd ranges and trap. Also has a inside archery range Not a bad place, nothing fancy but nice ranges... Pm me if you want to meet up and shoot sometime and check it out.

It's not in chester county, but i usually go to Classic Pistol in Southampton Bucks County. It is a nice indoor range. They have plenty of lanes for pistols and rifles and they are a Class III dealer with Full autos for rent.

Classis pistol allows FA for a premium. They also rent FA. I belong to a relatively unknown club that is mostly for lead pistol rounds but has 2 laines for hard ball. They would have an issue with FA. They do not allow magnum rounds.
